One2One is an Anchorage non-profit whose purpose is to match professional women mentors with justice-involved mentees for intentional friendships that promote self-efficacy through mutually fulfilling collaborations.
We are hoping this page will not only help us recruit interested professional women to become meaningful mentors, but also as an avenue to let our community know of the needs of our mentees. We highly promote recycling and reusing gently used items specific for our mentees to help them stay independent and successful in the community.
What We Do
ONE2ONE is a women’s mentorship program. It operates two monthly group mentorship sessions for justice-involved women, many of whom are prison re-entrants. Any justice-involved woman who is interested in attending this group may contact the volunteer coordinator below.
ONE2ONE also matches individual volunteer professional women mentors from the community with justice-involved women who are committed to sobriety and a law- abiding lifestyle.
The purpose of the group and individual matches is for mentors to provide non-judgmental friendship, expertise and guidance to promote confidence in their mentees’ ability to establish positive goals and interests and problem-solve together to attain them.
ONE2ONE provides a supportive learning and development partnership for women re-entrants by women mentors who have attained success in life domain areas critical for justice-involved women to succeed in (education, work, housing, parenting, finances, etc.).
